a DANCE student from Amesbury is preparing to take part in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.

The 18-year-old has just completed a one-year foundation course at Performers College in Essex, and is now set to embark on a three-year musical theatre course.

Her mother Debbie said: “Since the end of the foundation course in may, Hollie has been travelling up and down from our home in Amesbury to Dagenham in Essex where the rehearsals are taking place, she is loving every moment of the experience.”

The former student at South Wilts Grammar School and Brockenhurst College has been taking classes at Salisbury Dance Studios since she was 11.

She was also a member of Stage ‘65 Youth Theatre and has performed several times at Salisbury Playhouse.
